After graduating from the Department of Living Aesthetics, Faculty of Home Economics, Showa Women's University (currently the Department of Environmental Design), she worked for seven years in the Architect Department of the Design Headquarters of the Tokyo Head Office of Obayashi Corporation, where she was involved in everything from design to construction supervision of offices, apartment complexes, commercial facilities, schools, and villas.
From here she moved to Ehime Prefecture, where she worked at a local design firm after raising her children. In 2014, she went independent and founded the architectural design firm "Ron Design Office".
In 2015, she travelled to the UK to learn the essence of architectural interiors and further her studies.After receiving a degree in interior design certified by the UK government, she returned to Japan and completed her studies the following year at the Kyoto University of Art and Design (now Kyoto University of the Arts) Graduate School of Art and Design (correspondence course), majoring in art and the environment. In 2018, she renamed her company "RON DESIGN" and established the art department "Galerie Articious". Since then, as one of the few interior architects in Japan, she has steadily gained a reputation of working with high-end, design-conscious clients creating dramatic and luxurious residences that combine global sensibilities with traditional Japanese beauty.
She has won awards both at home and abroad, becoming the first Japanese to win the Luxury Residences category of the Elite Awards, which is selected from the winners of The International Design & Architecture Awards, sponsored by design et al, a leading British interior design magazine, and winning the Andrew Martin Award, known as the Oscar of the interior design world, sponsored by a leading British furniture manufacturer.
In 2023, We incorporated and started a new chapter as Articious Co.,Ltd.. a first-class architectural firm called RON DESIGN.
She moved the office to Tokyo.
This change is company structure is to allow for the development of work within the leisure and commercial sectors – hotels, restaurants, offices and cultural institutions.
Her hobbies are traveling, eating, and watching classical ballet.
Her special skill is her discerning eye for art, and she often visits auctions in London and New York. She is a big movie fan, and her lifetime favourite movie is "Cinema Paradiso."
