桜の季節もあっという間に通り過ぎ、新緑がまぶしい季節になりました。GWも近づいてきましたね。
さて、そんな中、私は東京に移動して初めて、東京で「確認済書」を受理することができました。
「確認申請」とは、建物を建てる前に頂く建築の許可書のこと。私たちの仕事において、何度経験しても「確認申請の許可が下りた」瞬間は、やっぱり特別で、とてもとてもうれしいものです。
実はダイエット中だったのですが、ご褒美の名目で大好きなお菓子を食べてしまいました（笑）。
まぁいいか……ということで、久しぶりに心の底からホッとする時間を味わいました。
申請というのは、単なる「手続き」ではありません。
その背景には、施主の想いがあり、設計者のこだわりがあり、無数の検討と調整が積み重なっています。
それが「正式に認められる」というのは、ひとつの小さなゴールであり、そしてまた、新たなスタートラインでもあります。
特に今回は、RCとCLTの混構造という新たなチャレンジ。
新しい土地で、新しい構造形式に取り組む中、構造設計者と何度もやりとりを重ねながら、ようやく形にすることができました。
だからこそ、受理された時の喜びはひとしお。小さな達成感が胸にじんわりと染み渡りました。
最近、建築というのは「形をつくる仕事」であると同時に、「関係をつなぐ仕事」なのだと感じることが増えました。
空間をつくるということは、そこに集う人、そこに関わるすべての人との間に橋をかけていくようなもの。
その橋を丁寧に、誠実に編んでいくことが、私の役割なのだと思っています。
そして今、他のプロジェクトもまた、少しずつ動き始めています。
季節が巡るように、日々の仕事も静かに、でも確かに前へと進んでいます。

In the middle of all this, I moved to Tokyo and finally received the “confirmation document.”
A “confirmation application” is a permit you get before you build a building. In our work, no matter how many times we experience it, the moment we get approval for the “confirmation application” is always special and very exciting.
Actually, I’ve been dieting, but I ate some of my favourite sweets as a reward (laughs). Well, it’s okay… and I really enjoyed this moment of relaxation.
An application like this isn’t just a “formality.” Behind it, there are the client’s wishes, the designer’s hard work, and many discussions and adjustments. Getting it officially accepted feels like a small goal achieved, but also a new starting point.
This time, the project was a new challenge: a mixed structure of RC and CLT. Working with this new structure in a new place, I had many talks with the structural designer, and we finally made it work. That’s why the happiness of receiving the approval was even bigger. A small sense of achievement spread through me.
Recently, I feel that architecture is not just about “creating shapes,” but also about “building connections.” Creating a space is like building a bridge between the people who will use it and everyone involved. I think my role is to carefully and honestly build that bridge.
Now, other projects are starting to move forward slowly. Just like the seasons change, my work is quietly moving ahead.
